Tomorrow I will find the breakers for both sides of the bottom pair and see if I can figure out where all these wires come from / go to.Electricity is a major topic in GCSE Physics. I also have no idea how this was ever working, but I swear I have changed no other wiring - the only thing I can think of is replacing the other outlets did something to a loose connection somewhere. I have not had the time to go find what breaker(s) control the bottom pair, but I do think that the top pair comes from the switch box in that room.

The yokes on the hot and neutral side for this outlet are intact.

If I remove any of the four wires which lead to this outlet, the lights in my entry way (which are on a different breaker entirely) stop working.I also have 112v from neutral to ground and 116v from hot to ground on the bottom pair (yes seriously).

If you really do have two separate circuits in the box, you should be able to disconnect one pair of black and white (coming from the same sheathing of course) and it shouldn't affect anything down stream as it /should/ be a dead end for that circuit /if/ there truly are two circuits in the box. I'm curious to know if you really have two circuits in one box, and only two pairs of Black and White.
